I love cats. I've been living with at least one all my life when possible. Actually there was a substancial period of my life (from college until I got my home) when I didn't have a feline animal companion. It took up a good third of my life now that I think about it. I missed having cats around. I couldn't before because of apartment regulations and the general lack of space in a 1 bedroom apartment. But now I don't have to worry about that. As soon as I could I adopted Lena and Sarge from a fostering agency. It was the best decision I made. They are good pets and we are happy together. On August 22nd, 2008 after being in my new job for a few weeks I decided to foster a cat, the way Sarge and Lena were fostered. I was handed this purring ball of black fluff named Pepi. I tried to get her adopted for 6 months. Then before her first birthday I decided to keep her. She was getting too big to be considered a kitten and she hated going to the adoption shows. She's made a fine addition to the family.

Like any parent (even though my kids are cats), I have lots of pictures of my cats. So I'll just display the best 10 or so pictures of them.

Now about Sarge, a few months after I adopted hime he developed a cyst above his right eye. He let me drain it a few times since we hoped it would heal on its own. That's pretty good, a kitty letting someone poke him near the eye hard enough to break the skin. Anyway the vet had to remove the cyst which required some skin being removed as well. He pulled through pretty well, but he has a strange look in his right eye. It's like he has an invisible monocle. Don't worry, he can still see out of it and he's still my handsome boy.
